Negotiatewith customs clearance officials on duty payments, difficult clearances etc.

Implement the efficient / appropriate clearanceprocedure to comply with all the regulatoryrules / policy and achieve DHL service objectives

Provide the effective / efficient recommendation toattribute Country to be more competitiveness with improved clearanceprocessing and system

Initiate / drive team effort to ensure the attainmentof both inbound and outbound shipment clearance, efficiently within clearanceperformance targets and transit time.

Establish efficient resource allocation in accordance with timingof data availability, shipmentvolumes3rd parties’ working hour to provide thecompetitive DHL clearance service to customers.

Monitorinbound and outbound shipment processing through the clearance process andensures clearance is smooth and rapid including customs, quarantine,censorship etc.

Ensurethe clearance process meets all legal and statutory requirements

EvaluateCustoms Clearance proceduresand methods to achieve optimum service and cost performance; participate inGateway quality policy and initiatives

Payand record customs duties / taxes in an accurate and timely manner.

Controlbonded areas and is responsible for managing clearance status of shipments heldin bond for any reason.

Liaisewith DHL customers where paperwork and authorisation are required from them toexpedite clearance of their shipments.

ManagesCustoms Clearance Unit resources including cost and performance management.

Analyse Customs Clearance performance and solve theproblem and take corrective actions with relative parties for the most competitive ClearancePerformance / Capability

Analyse clearance performance and take the correctiveaction in co-operation with the relative parties (e.g. Commercial, CS Finance etc.).

Identify the cost efficiency opportunities withinclearance activities / organisation

Developa high performance service culture within the functional department. Plan,organize and direct and efficient and effective functional department.

DevelopIKOs / KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.

Managethe allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to theachievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.

BachelorDegree in Logistics, International Business Management or related field, CustomsBroker license is an advantage

Atleast 7 years relevant experience of working with customs withintransportation, logistics or import / export industry with 5 years’ experiencein a leadership role

Customeroriented, Ability to be flexible and workunder time constraints

Strongexperience in managing multi skills team. People oriented leadership.

Planning& organizing, Decision making and Problem solving skills

Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills

Good command of English in both speaking and writing

Proficientwith Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
