Detailed Description :
Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in the manufacture test engineering area of specialization. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices.
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgement.
Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the division’s / department’s operations, schedules, and / or performance goals.
Works under minimum Supervision. Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job / role scope. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions.
Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work is reviewed for application of sound technical judgment. May lead a work group or project team consisting of technical and support staff.
Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job / role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal service.
Perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following :
Ensure that manufacture test processes’ strategy, flows, processes and requirements and plans are in place to meet customer expectations.
Meet and exceed program management metrics for manufacture test development activities on every project / grogram, be on schedule, be within budget.
Meet and exceed product quality metrics for manufacture test development activities on every project / program during NPI phases and GA+ : achieve expected yield rate, zero high priority issues of manufacture test related and 100% coverage of defined test requirements.
Support to meet and exceed customer satisfaction metrics during NPI phases and GA+ : timely customer communications, ensure deliverables and address customer’s concerns and escalations.
Lead Cross Function teams and manage manufacture test strategy delivery, test solution development and deployment on time within budget.
Ensure DFT reviews done with manufacture quality standard and approve before design release.
Enable Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve capability and efficiency within the manufacture test strategy team.
In-depths knowledge of structural test methodologies, such as Flying Probe, In Circuit Test, Boundary Scan, etc.
In-depths knowledge of Functional Test methodologies of Intel x86 architecture and Linux test environment.
In-depths knowledge of Stress Test methodologies and modeling, such as Burn-In, Environmental Stress Screening, Vibration, etc.
Knowledge / Skills / Competencies :
More than 5 years’ experience in manufacture test or related areas.
Excellent leadership skills in cross functional team environment.
Excellent communication skill with varying levels of audiences both written and verbal.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Ability to size development and testing efforts and duration.
Strong knowledge of change management process.
In-depth knowledge of design quality and manufacture quality and DFx.
In-depth knowledge of manufacture test processes’ and requirements’ design and development.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the design process for systems and printed circuit boards, subassemblies, or other related company products.
In-depth knowledge of materials and components used in the construction of systems and printed circuit boards and subassemblies.
In-depth knowledge of material science, robotics, machine programming.
Excellent customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
Good presentation, database management and computer skills.
Knowledge and understanding of the design process for printed circuit boards.
Ability to design tests, evaluate results and recommend solutions to improve the processes associated with SMT and optical manufacturing.
Ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
Ability to evaluate materials, gather and analyze data and determine root cause of problems.
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and coordinate multiple, changing deadlines.
Experiences in test diagnostic coding is a plus with C, C++, Python scripts and Java.
