Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or other science discipline
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Logistics
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and local language(s)
Strong knowledge and expertise of DIW, HAZMAT, IMDG and IATA requirements
Strong knowledge and understanding of local regulations related to Chemicals
Experience in chemicals / water treatment preferred
Knowledge of SAP and Office software (Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
What will you be doing?
The Logistics Specialist is responsiblefor managing, aligning, coordinating and balancing the logistics requirementsfor the SUEZ WTS business
You are responsible for supporting theSUEZ WTS business in arranging timely customer deliveries, both locally andinternationally, imports, compliance to customs and regulatory requirementthrough effective management of 3PL partners
You will be required to focus onachieving performance objectives which are in line with the organisation’svision and overcome those obstacles that may inhibit SUEZ WTS from achievingthese business goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Ensure customer requirements are met through on time deliveries in accordance to agreed schedules.
Monitor warehouse and delivery operations to ensure all agreed procedures and KPIs such as OTD, inventory accuracy, shipping accuracy, etc. are met
Conduct stock take to ensure inventory accuracy
Manage the reverse logistics requirements (including tank washing and maintenance) from customer to SUEZ WTS facilities
Ensure 3PL vendors meet SUEZ WTS requirements on EHS & Compliance through regular audits
Analyze gaps / failure in 3PL vendors and set up corrective and preventive actions
Monitor 3PL vendors invoices to ensure costs are billed correctly and timely.
Monitor the regulation changes and ensure regulatory compliance in all local aspects i.e. IMDG, IATA, road transport, customs, import / export licenses, labels, DG storage and waste disposal.
Initiate and verify cost saving programs such as FTA, shipment consolidation, route optimization and space optimization.
Be a company representative to deal with government officials or customers for import / export / customs compliance issue.
Have a broad insight into the local / International logistics costs and use that knowledge to bring value and cost out opportunities to the company.
Share best practices with counterparts across the region and globally
Ability to coordinate across functions and locations to ensure successful outcomes
Effective time management skills including sequencing of own work and resource time management
Decision making skills, e.g. quick thinking and confident in outcome
Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned or required
Self-motivated with high sense of urgency, resourcefulness and adaptability.
