As standards evolve, certifications like IELTS are also becoming essential for access to national and international study opportunities and qualifications and the wider employment market.
The British Council has a strong teaching presence in both Bangkok and Chiang Mai, and surrounding regions. There is a strong demand for English language learning in Thailand, being driven by the country’s economic growth, increasing internationalisation and a government vision for the future which is predicated on significantly improving levels of English language proficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY
Teachers are usually assigned to work in one teaching locations within a region although sometimes may be required to work in more than one location.
Teaching young learners represents most teaching activities nationally and you will be expected to be able to deliver YL classes.
The British Council currently delivers courses to around 10,000 young learners and 2,500 adults at any one time. We aim to grow these numbers in the coming months and years.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
If you are Cambridge CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL or equivalently qualified, with at least 2 years post-qualification experience (1000 hours) work with us and you will have access to equally high-quality training and learning
