Business Development Manager - Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

  • The partnership manager identifies with the partnership strategy to grow the business value with our strategic partners as well as grow partners in one or more of our other partner categories, including, content, rewards and events in the area of wellness.
  • The partnership manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationship with our key strategic partners while also developing strategies to increase the joint business value of the strategic relationship.
  • The partnership manager acts as a liaison between Singtel and its partners, and is responsible for building, maintaining and managing the account relationships with current and prospective partners.
  • The partnership manager works to acquire new partners in one or more the identified categories through a joint business development with these partners.
  • Responsible for driving business results for Singtel in all its partnerships, specifically in terms of revenue and engagement.
  • Be a proactive, responsive, strategic resource in managing partner relationships internally and externally.
  • Knowledgeable in Singtel’s digital assets and work with partners to create compelling digital journeys within StepUp and Singtel’s digital assets to drive business outcomes for both Singtel and partners.
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • BA / BSc degree
  • Preferably 3 or more years in a partnership, sales or business development role or environment
  • Good eye for identifying opportunities with the ability to make a quick assessment and go / no-go validation with partners
  • Understand quickly where the potential value drivers to both businesses, Singtel and partners, and how to derive these in the order of short to mid-term quick results that can lead to longer term value through strategic though leadership from both Singtel and partners
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lobby different initiatives across diverse stakeholders from different domains or group and at times with conflicting agendas
  • Has some experience in account or partner management by identifying key stakeholders in a partners’ organization, including decision makers, influencer, gate keepers and blockers
  • Excellent in driving business results to meet revenue targets with a strong financial acumen to articulate the return of investment
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team, is assertive and comfortable with collaborative tension between both Singtel and the partners
  • Demonstrated experience in managing resources (internal and external) to meet goals across both Singtel and the partners
  • Strong persuasion and influencing capabilities
  • Ability to work and adapt in a highly dynamic environment amidst ambiguities but yet be able to identify priorities, escalating quickly where relevant
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and drive projects to completion
