RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
Communicate HSE objectives to the personnel under supervision
Drive and feedback the personnel under supervision to comply with HSE objectives on their day to day operations
Make responsibilities as described in HSE my responsibility’ are known to the personnel under department management
Drive and feedback the personnel under the supervision to comply with 'HSE my responsibility' on their day to day operations
Maintain safe working environment within areas of responsibility
Quality and Policy
Drive and feedback the personnel under supervision quality performance on their day to day operations
Input to endorsement report within defined area of responsibility
Implement, maintain and feedback to W3 (project procedures & work instructions) required within areas of responsibility for continue improvement
Implement company policy and strategy to the personnel under supervision
Advise their personnel under supervision to adapt project strategies and philosophies to day to day operations in own responsible area
Technical, Supervision and Communication
Keep own personnel regularly informed of the company's activities and seek such information
Give own personnel updated job descriptions when necessary which clearly define their areas of responsibility and check that their responsibilities are being discharged
Establish and keep own personnel informed of developments and goals
Ensure that responsibility for personnel is discharged in accordance with the company's management principles
Advise the personnel under supervision how to handle complaint and conflict
Provide criticism, but also provide recognition when work has been executed in a good manner
Provide own personnel's work criticism or personnel circumstances in a relevant, positive form and must not be given in the presence of others
Reports to superior on work status and anticipate critical activities which might have an effect on project / job execution
Give inputs to strategies, plans and activities that support client objectives within relevant areas.
Ensure Construction its deliveries and services to projects in accordance with the agreement or order.
Give inputs to budget preparation and monitoring of budget assumptions and results.
Organizing according to client current policies and terms.
Co-ordinate and integrate activities within Construction for client best interests.
Ensure the transfer of best practice from and to other units in client.
Reports to Piping Manager on work progress and actual or envisaged critical activities, which might have an effect on overall project execution.
Be the departments representative towards customer and other departments and projects in matters that cuts across projects and contracts in client.
Facilitate in such a way that the organization has a good working environment where goals and success is essential for members of the organization.
Support engineering, construction and supplier on Completion matters.
Shall be familiar with applicable statutory requirements, laws, rules and regulations.
Shall at all times encourage seeking improvements to the methods, cost and schedules.
Give guidance and create good relations between the members of the team.
Report work progress and actual or envisaged problems and areas of concern.
Supervision and expediting piping activities to ensure that all deliverables are completed on time, in accordance with the project schedules.
Ensures that the work is done to the specified quality.
Prepares and maintains a positive working environment for the members.
Inputs to endorsement report within defined area of responsibility.
Defines and requests required resources to Piping Manager.
Implements, maintains and feedbacks to W3 (project procedures & work instructions) required within areas of responsibility for continue improvement.
Responsible for interface with other disciplines in project organizational.
Complies with project strategies and philosophies.
Gives input to the PQP (Project Quality Plan).
Compiles documentation, inspection report for final handover to system completion.
Monitoring and Coaching / Supporting field engineer, inspector and supervisor to achieve on above mentioned activities.
Progress and Productivity
Drive and feedback the personnel under supervision to meet company and own responsible area target
Maintain optimum manning levels with the right qualifications within responsible area
Ensure resources are fully and carefully utilised
Cost and Budget
Ensure that own personnel execute work within planned budget
Ensure that all activities are performed in line with approved budget
Identify and implement productivity improvements and cost reductions
Ensure that all financial commitments are in line with Delegation of Authority (DoA) limits
Ensure that all the work performed is in compliance with Company's Code of Conduct and promotes Company's ethical standards among own personnel
Observe ethical standards requirement and become a natural part of daily duties
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND :
Bachelor or Vocational in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
At least 10 years working experience in piping construction work within Oil & Gas or Petrochemical business.
Fluent in Thai and English communications. Able to work with English-speaking management fluently required.
Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoints etc.)
Knowledge of maintenance and preservation practices and engineering and construction methods.
Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, etc.
